Aerial Pathways with Lisa Natoli

WHAT: This class is for the intermediate or advanced aerialist interested in exploring pathways.  We will explore how things function by gaining awareness of what is hold us up and keeping us down.. We will deconstruct transitions and pathways to design and research sequences, wraps, and artistry. We will also examine how skills and theories translate between apparatus and bodies.

PREREQUISITES: Must be able to invert in the air repeatedly and have an open mind.

WHO: Lisa Natoli also known as Iron Fanny is an american aerial performance artist living in Minneapolis. She is a contemporary dancer and sought after aerialist known for her boundary pushing approach in teaching and performing. Lisa recently worked on a creation project with Steven Hoggett with Spiegelworld at St. Ann’s Warehouse (NYC).  She has presented  solo and ensemble work at The Toronto Contemporary Festival, The House of Yes, Galapagos Art Space , CBGB’s Gallery, The Brooklyn Lyceum, and MonkeyTown. Lisa is the lead instructor at ExperTease Fitness in Minneapolis and has taught on-going classes at Circus Warehouse (NYC), Aloft (Chicago), andFrequent Flyers (Boulder). She performs often with Black Hearts Burlesque at LUSH in Minneapolis. Lisa is in town to perform with The Rainbow Militia at the Bunport Theater January 5th.

WHEN: Saturday 1/6 4-6pm (Lisa is also available to teach private lessons on 1/6 & 7, please contact her or the studio to schedule).

COST: $50
